Charita Dolls Marilyn Monroe Dress ~ Free Pattern

 The famous American actress Marilyn Monroe wore a white dress in the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch, I haven't seen the film yet, but I don't think I ever going to do it, anyway, the dress was designed by William Travilla. The dress is regarded as an icon of film history and the statue of Monroe in the white dress standing above a subway grating blowing the dress up has been described as one of the iconic images of the twentieth century. I have seen a lot of people making pictures under her dress, and I heard that there's a part of the population in America, but also in other countries, who sais that making a picture, while you're standing under her dress is 'outrageous'. But I like the idea ^.^

Top (beige colored yarn)
Begin at the back loops from the foundation of the skirt.
Rnd 1-4  *sc* (16)
Slip stitch the last single crochet.
This part is the part of the dress where you have to make a kind of a long 'triangle', like a bikini top.
Turn the dress around at the end of the row. You have to crochet back and forth!
Row 5   4sc, ch (4) TURN AROUND!!!
Row 6   4sc, ch (4)
Row 7   sc, dec, sc, ch (3)
Row 8   3sc, ch (3)
Row 9   sc, dec, ch (2)
Row 10   2sc, ch (2)
Row 11   dec, ch (1)

FO. This is just one part of the top. Now you have to crochet the other part too. That other part begins at the next stitch next to the first part. MAKE TWO OF THOSE PARTS!!
